Needs & Wants
The primary reason for updating our website was out of necessity. The previous template that was being used was no longer being updated by the developer. This became an issue, because many of the plugins on the site would not be compatible with the old code in the previous template. Additionally, we felt it was time to give the site a fresh new look. We wanted to streamline the number of pages on the site and make it easier to find out more about the services we offer to existing and potential clients with their online marketing needs.
A Clean & Branded Look
For ease of reading on the site, we decided to simplify and reduce the amount of text. The addition of a video and photos helped to personalize the site, and make it more visually appealing. When planning the color palette, we looked at using our existing branding and incorporated it into the overall design. We made subtle changes to the background color to include a mix of white with a softer, more modern purple hue.
Fantastic New Features
Our new site features an excellent user experience, with easy navigation, clear calls to action, and site responsiveness. That means it is usable on all devices, whether your screen is a large desktop computer or a small mobile device, such as a phone or tablet. In addition, we integrated our site with Mailchimp, so you’ll be able to stay in touch with Aliya and receive notifications about upcoming training sessions, events, and social media news.
Home & Services
The service cards on the “Home” and “Services” pages provide clear descriptions of the different types of services we offer, including a new option, Social Media Coaching! In addition, our home page features a sliding carousel of testimonials from some of our clients, a video that showcases our unique skills, and an introductory snippet of recent design work in our digital portfolio.
About
Our “About” page features background information on Aliya, as well as a new section highlighting “Our Values” at Aliya Hammond Consulting. This new section shows potential customers what sets us apart from the competition, because we are knowledgeable, professional, diligent, and trustworthy.
Training
Our “Training” page showcases the training sessions we offer on Social Media Strategy, Sales, and Storytelling, as well as individual network training on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. There is a moving carousel of images on the page, which helps to add motion and visual interest.
Events
If you’re looking to find out about Aliya’s upcoming training sessions, our new “Events” page features a list of new events as they become available, with organizer information, images and descriptions, as well as a convenient way to register for upcoming free and paid events directly through the page.
Portfolio
Our “Portfolio” page highlights examples of the different types of design work we have created for our clients, including social media and website graphics, business documents, and logos. Stop by and take a look!

The “Blog” page is regularly updated with bright and colorful blog title images and helpful content to assist you with all of your social media marketing needs.
