Aliya was presented with this incredible award at the 39th Annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week kick-off event at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on October 2, 2023, as well as a Citation from the Office of the Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, alongside other people and businesses recognized for their vital impact in the region over the past year. Aliya Hammond Consulting is headquartered in the greater Philadelphia area and offers social media marketing, training, and management services across the US.
Elizabeth Walsh, President of WBEC-East, congratulated Aliya on her achievement by saying, “We select our MED Week Champion based on the individual’s personal and professional dedication and assistance in providing support and growth opportunities to Minority Businesses in the Philadelphia area. You are incredibly deserving!” While presenting the award at the MED Week opening event, Liz added that Aliya helped many women-owned businesses to survive COVID and beyond through the expertise and the information that she was able to share.
After thanking Liz for her kind words, Aliya gave a brief acceptance speech, stating that, “It was my pleasure to jump in and to serve everyone who needed some help with digital marketing during the pandemic. I really am humbled and honored to receive this award.”
This exceptional honor comes on the heels of a recent appointment as a WBEC-East Envoy, a National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Rookie of the Year award, and a feature in The Philadelphia Tribune.
