Recently, we assisted Brandywine Health Foundation in the creation of their brand new website. Like the recent redesign of our own website, and this sweet new website we developed for Zana Cakes, our focus was on ensuring an excellent user experience, with a streamlined design and updated features. Read on to learn more, and see how the social media marketing experts at Aliya Hammond Consulting can help your business, too!

The Goal

Brandywine Health Foundation is a philanthropic organization striving to advance a more equitable, resilient, and healthy community for all residents of the Greater Coatesville community of Pennsylvania. They provide scholarships and grants, with 100% of contributions going directly to those in need. In these uncertain and often turbulent times, the major goal of designing a new website was to create a greater sense of community, including a restructured menu to make relevant content more quickly and consistently accessible. We also wanted to include a large variety of images to shine a spotlight on the community, events, and partner organizations, as well as individuals, such as local citizens and scholarship recipients.

Key Pages

  • The COVID-19 Response page provides valuable information about the foundation’s three-phase Healthcare & Economic Relief Fund. Through grants and donors, Brandywine Health Foundation has helped to provide essential health and economic relief within the community during the pandemic.
  • The Racial & Social Justice page addresses the health and economic disparities embedded in our societal systems, institutions, and policies, including unequal medical care, and discrimination in housing, employment, education, and justice systems. This page strives to empower the community’s voice to solve complex problems, and build a thriving, inclusive, and healthy community for all.
  • In addition to Grants and Initiatives, a Media page was added to feature Impact Reports, in-house Press Releases, and a Newsroom to highlight stories written up about the foundation from various news outlets. The About page introduces the board of directors and staff at Brandywine Health Foundation, as well as the History, Mission & Principles, Donors & Volunteers, and a message from the CEO.
  • A Blog will be coming soon.

Additional Updates

The inclusion of more images and less text allows for ease of reading, along with an inviting color palette of blues and greens. In addition to making the design more visually appealing, the site now includes helpful social media widgets, a featured video about the history of Brandywine Health Foundation (located on the History, Mission & Principles page), and easy sign ups to volunteer, make a donation, or apply for grant assistance. We’ve also included email integration with Constant Contact.

Our hope is that it will provide a positive user-experience and will inspire others to become involved in their community.
