When Felicia Shanken founded the Philadelphia Women’s Network Connection and PWNC Foundation Inc. in 2019, her mission was to create a friendly, supportive community where fellow business owners could sharpen their entrepreneurial edge while nurturing relationships that enrich career satisfaction. PWNC is committed to helping women looking to transition into growing a business as full-time entrepreneurs, and this included the development of a website that would foster innovation, education and connection.
An Impactful Website
At the start, we understood this was not your ordinary networking group, and we were excited to help support the women of the PWNC on their journey to success. At the start, we strived for this web design to be not only professional, but also impactful and empowering. The first step was a dynamic use of complementary colors, featuring an ombre palette that flows from deep burgundy and rich red to vibrant coral, with pops of mint and shamrock green found directly opposite on the color wheel. These eye-catching hues are anchored against a crisp white background and pair beautifully with photos used on the site.
A Great User Experience
Our web design for PWNC is well-organized and offers a great user experience, including easy left side navigation and tabs to become a member or register for upcoming events. On the home page, we also incorporated a video message from founder Felicia Shanken, as well as links to the latest news and a testimonial carousel. Other pages on the site include information About PWNC, Felicia Shanken, and the Board of Directors, along with Community Partners, Sponsors, and Ambassadors. There is also an Events calendar that allows visitors to sign up and pay right on the website, a Media page with video and audio files, a Contact page, and a Blog that offers valuable information to help to establish the Philadelphia Women’s Network Connection as a thought leader.
