Established in Cleveland, Ohio in 1998, Zana Cakes later relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2001. Since then, this small bakery decided to branch out into the world of mail-order desserts, but Zana Cakes needed expert help to successfully go national. About The Client
When Zana Billue reached out to us, her vision was to share her amazing, homemade cakes, and to reach and attract a wider market. Her delectable desserts included ten different flavors, such as Brandy Carrot Cake, German Chocolate, Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Butter Pound Cake, and Zana’s Signature Streusel. Her target audience included both individuals and corporations ordering cakes for birthday celebrations, special events, holiday parties — or just because. After all, any time is a good time for cake!
Consulting And Creating
After consulting with the client, and factoring in all her wants and needs, we began work on a new WordPress and e-commerce website for Zana Cakes. In order to reach both returning and new customers, the site would be integrated with a convenient list service provided by Mailchimp. Other features would include an eye-catching, branded look, consistent, quality graphics and images, and an easy to navigate interface, whether customers were sending gifts with personalized messages, signing up for a subscription to the Cake of the Month Club, or simply searching for a favorite flavor that reminds them of fond family memories. Blogging, another vital element of social media management and online marketing, was also taken into consideration, with a custom blog template for fast and easy content creation.
