Last month in our social media blog, we put out an early holiday gift to our readers to help make holiday shopping a little easier, but we’re feeling extra generous this year! This December, we are highlighting some of our favorite organizations that support small business growth. If you are an entrepreneur, keep this list handy as a valuable resource, and stay tuned for more as we get closer to the New Year!
NAWBO, Greater Philadelphia Chapter
Founded in 1975, NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) is “the unified voice of over 9 million women-owned businesses in the United States representing the fastest growing segment of the economy.” NAWBO has chapters across the country, including Greater Philadelphia.
As the country’s premier women’s business organization, NAWBO helps to fuel personal, professional, and economic development for women entrepreneurs. They achieve this mission by building strategic alliances, transforming public policy to create an effective change in business culture, and strengthening the wealth creating capacity of organization members.

The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia has a commitment to diversity and inclusion, with local, state, and federal advocates working to advance a wide variety of initiatives that impact area businesses and our workforce.
