Recently, we had the opportunity to assist Bright Minds Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center, a preschool program for children living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We met owner, Ebony Parker-Baggett, through the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program (if you follow our blog, you know that Aliya Hammond, President and CEO of Aliya Hammond Consulting, is a proud graduate of 10KSB). As one of Aliya’s cohort members, Ebony came to us in serious need of website development services. In fact, she had been operating her business with no website at all. Now she has one, and it looks absolutely amazing!
Bright Beginnings
Developing a web design for Bright Minds Bright Beginnings was easy as A-B-C and 1-2-3! For this project, we focused on crafting a fun and playful site, featuring a rainbow of bright colors and shapes throughout. An adorable logo, and cheerful circles that gradiate from warm orange to sunny yellow, greet visitors at the start of the Home Page. This motif is carried across each page, with shades of cyan blue, bubble gum pink, peach, and purple. Scrolling down, cartoon flowers and butterflies pop off a white background, adding an additional touch of vibrant color. For a font that suited the preschool theme, we chose san-serif bubble letters that are both whimsical and easy to read.
Bright Minds
Another aspect of smart web design is creating a great user experience. Incredible features of the Bright Minds Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center website include a filterable photo gallery, a contact form for parents to find out more information, a newsletter signup, testimonials, and admissions inquiry forms for enrollment. Clever icons help to educate about enrollment, curriculum, and programs provided at the school, while helpful tabs allow parents and guardians to “Schedule A Tour” or “Enroll Today,” with ease.
