If you follow our blog at aliyahammondconsulting.com, you know that I am a proud alum of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program (10KSB), having graduated on December 16, 2022. The entrepreneurs accepted into 10KSB are passionate about growing their businesses and represent a diverse, tight-knit community spanning a wide variety of industries. Grouped by region, I had the opportunity to form a life-long support system and network with the incredible members of my cohort, and especially my growth group.

Growth groups are specifically designed for small business owners to form meaningful connections, generate ideas, seek advice, and grow together as entrepreneurs. The importance of growth groups in business, and the value of having a circle of people in your corner, is undeniable. Throughout my time in 10KSB, I formed amazing bonds with the individuals in my growth group. We went out to dinner, met on Zoom, and took a trip together to Longwood Gardens over the holidays. We also have a group text where we chat every day about everything and anything! More than business colleagues, we have become both friends and family.

I invite you to get to know the incredible people and businesses in my growth group, and show them some love. I also hope my experience will inspire you, as small business owners, to seek and form supportive connections of your own.
